About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Expert to join our team on an hourly contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting advanced AI research and evaluation projects related to cybersecurity. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing realistic enterprise cybersecurity scenarios, creating reference outputs, and building evaluation frameworks that mirror real-world security operations.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely with a talented team of professionals dedicated to pioneering cybersecurity innovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security engineering, incident response, and risk management, with the ability to design and implement comprehensive security scenarios and assessments that reflect current industry standards and practices.





Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over five years of professional experience in cybersecurity roles such as Security Engineer, CISO, or Security Lead. A thorough understanding of security operations, tooling, and current threat landscapes is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with incident response, security architecture, and compliance initiatives, along with familiarity with frameworks like NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or EU NIS2.

Strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and excellent written communication are required to effectively produce detailed reports, assessments, and documentation. A proven track record of applying threat modeling, incident response, and risk assessment methodologies will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive cybersecurity scenarios that encompass Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, incident response, digital forensics, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
- Create detailed tasks and exercises across threat detection, penetration testing, security engineering, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) domains.
- Design scenarios utilizing industry-standard tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Qualys, and enterprise GRC platforms.
- Apply threat modeling, incident response,



and risk assessment methodologies to ensure scenarios are realistic and relevant to current threat landscapes.
- Produce reference incident reports, security assessments, architecture designs, and compliance documentation to support research and evaluation efforts.
- Develop rubrics and evaluation criteria that differentiate authentic enterprise security judgment from generic textbook knowledge, ensuring high-quality assessments.
