About the Role
Yello Living is looking for a Community Manager to own the resident experience across our co-living properties.
This is a people-first role—not a facilities or maintenance role. You will be the face of Yello for every resident, from the day they move in to the day they move out, while helping keep the community welcoming, connected, and alive in between.
Key Responsibilities
Move-In & Move-Out
- Own the end-to-end execution of the move-in checklist for every new resident.
- Ensure every checklist is fully completed, with no steps skipped and any gaps flagged immediately.
- Be the primary point of contact for new residents during their first few days.
- Help new residents settle in and feel welcomed.
- Own the move-out checklist and ensure completion for every exiting resident.
- Conduct move-out conversations to understand the genuine reason for leaving.
- Accurately document feedback and flag recurring patterns or concerns to management.
Resident Relations
- Be the go-to person for day-to-day resident interactions and queries.
- Build robust relationships with residents across the community.
- Proactively identify concerns, including complaints, resident friction, and recurring issues.
- Surface concerns to management before they escalate.
- Act as a bridge between residents and the wider Yello team on community-related matters.
Community Communication
- Manage community WhatsApp group(s).
- Share regular updates, announcements, and relevant information.
- Ensure communication remains timely, consistent, engaging, and aligned with the Yello brand.
Events & Community Engagement
- Plan a regular calendar of community events, including social, wellness, festive, and skill-based activities.
- Promote events within the community to drive participation.
- Execute and host events on the ground.
- Collect resident feedback after events and use it to improve future editions.
Social Media & Content Collaboration
- Coordinate with the social media and content team to capture community moments.
- Help create stories, reels, and other content around events and community activities.
- Identify and encourage residents to participate in social media content.
- Help build a consistent pipeline of authentic, resident-driven content.
Additional Responsibilities
Resident Onboarding
Go beyond the checklist by introducing new residents to the community, including:
- Community WhatsApp groups
- Upcoming events
- House rules and etiquette
- Community opportunities and connections
The goal is to ensure onboarding feels like a genuine welcome—not just paperwork. Feedback & Retention
- Conduct periodic resident check-ins or light-touch pulse surveys.
- Identify dissatisfaction early, before it results in a move-out.
- Capture feedback and share meaningful insights with management.
Community Guidelines
- Monitor shared-space and community conduct norms, including noise, cleanliness of common areas, guest policies, and general community etiquette.
- Gently address concerns and flag repeat issues to management rather than acting as an enforcement authority.
Recognition & Community Touchpoints Help create small but meaningful moments, such as:
- Welcome gestures
- Birthdays
- Work anniversaries
- Resident recognition initiatives
These should be simple, thoughtful, and focused on building goodwill and retention.
Community Connector
- Help new residents integrate into the community.
- Informally connect new residents with existing residents where appropriate.
- Encourage stronger relationships and participation within the community.
Reporting Provide a simple weekly summary covering:
- Move-ins and move-outs handled
- Resident concerns raised
- Events conducted
- Resident engagement
- Content generated
- Important patterns or issues requiring management attention
Partnerships & Resident Perks
Where bandwidth allows
- Collaborate with local cafés, gyms, and service providers.
- Explore resident perks and discounts.
- Support local partnerships or event tie-ups.
Who This Role Is For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is comfortable talking to strangers and building rapport quickly.
- Is friendly, confident, and naturally people-oriented.
- Is organized and able to manage checklists and follow-ups without things falling through.
- Is comfortable hosting events and occasionally appearing on camera.
- Can encourage residents to participate in events and content.
- Is based in, or able to commute daily to, the Whitefield / ITPL Corridor.
Preferred Experience Prior experience in hospitality, community management, events, customer experience, or other customer-facing roles is preferred but not mandatory.
Attitude, ownership, and people skills matter more than a specific background.
What This Role Is Not
- Not a maintenance role.
- Not a housekeeping role.
- Not a facilities or property-operations role.
- Not a sales or lead-conversion role.
- Not a back-office or reporting-only role.
This is a hands-on, ground-level, people-facing role focused on creating an exceptional resident experience and building a vibrant community.
