Company Description Vyompedia is an open-source defence research and intelligence platform focused on the strategic impact of emerging defence technologies on the Indo-Pacific security landscape. The platform analyzes new weapon systems, autonomous platforms, dual-use technologies, and global defence-industrial trends to understand their implications for India’s strategic interests, military posture, and foreign policy. Areas of focus include disruptive weapon systems, cross-domain warfare in space, cyber, and electronic warfare, and the geopolitics of the global arms trade.

Vyompedia produces research-grade, open-source analysis for defence professionals, strategic thinkers, policymakers, and serious observers of conflict and power. It operates as the editorial arm of Raik Deftech Private Limited, a DPIIT-recognised defence deep-tech startup incubated at IIT Delhi I-TEC.

Role Description The Co-Founder will play a central role in shaping Vyompedia’s strategic direction, research agenda, and market positioning while working on-site full time in Bengaluru. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and refining the platform’s value proposition, overseeing research pipelines, and contributing to high-impact analytical content on defence technology and geopolitics. The role involves building and managing partnerships with defence professionals, academic institutions, and policymakers, as well as driving sales and marketing efforts to grow the user base and brand presence.

The Co-Founder will coordinate cross-functional activities, support fundraising and investor relations,



and help establish operational processes that enable sustainable growth. This role requires hands-on involvement in both strategic decision-making and execution in a lean, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex defence, geopolitical, and technology-related information and translate it into clear strategic insights.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written and verbal expression, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to represent the organization in high-level forums.
- Demonstrated sales skills, including relationship-building, negotiation, and converting strategic partnerships or subscriptions into sustainable revenue streams.
- Marketing skills with experience in positioning niche research products, managing digital presence, and reaching specialized audiences in defence, policy, or technology domains.
- Research skills with a background in defence studies, international relations, security studies, technology policy, or a related field, and familiarity with open-source intelligence methods.
- Prior experience in startups, think tanks, defence industry, or policy research environments is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, and make decisions in an early-stage, resource-constrained setting.
- Relevant postgraduate or skilled qualification in defence studies, international relations, engineering, public policy, or business is an advantage but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
