Position Summary

The Application Packaging & Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, packaging, deploying, maintaining, and supporting enterprise applications across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android environments. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert for modern application delivery, endpoint application management, deployment automation, and application lifecycle support using Microsoft Intune, Jamf, PowerShell, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 technologies.

The engineer will help improve the colleague experience by delivering reliable software deployments, reducing manual operational work, strengthening deployment standards, and enabling automation opportunities across Corporate IT. This role will also support the development and integration of automated workflows and AI-enabled solutions, including Microsoft Copilot Studio agents, that improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Package, test, deploy, update, and maintain enterprise applications using Microsoft Intune, Jamf, and related endpoint management platforms.
- Create and maintain application packages using Win32, MSI, MSIX, PKG, DMG, PowerShell, Windows Installer, and other standard packaging technologies.
- Manage application assignments, detection rules, dependencies, supersedence, filters, phased deployments, and remediation scripts to ensure reliable software delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex application installation, deployment, configuration, compatibility, and performance issues across managed endpoints.
- Support application deployment for internally developed applications, third-party software, SaaS tools, and productivity platforms.
- Monitor deployment success, failure trends, application health, compliance status, and endpoint readiness; provide reporting and recommendations for improvement.
- Partner with vendors, application owners, Security, Infrastructure, Service Desk, and business stakeholders to resolve application-related issues and improve deployment outcomes.
- Support application provisioning and configuration through Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Intune, Jamf, and other endpoint lifecycle processes.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation routines for application packaging, deployment, remediation, inventory, reporting, and operational support.
- Design and build automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to reduce repetitive work and improve IT service delivery.
- Assist with the design, build, testing, implementation, and support of Microsoft Copilot Studio agents and related AI-enabled automation solutions.
- Integrate automation and AI solutions with APIs,



Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365 services, enterprise applications, connectors, and structured data sources.
- Identify opportunities to improve colleague experience, reduce manual processes, increase standardization, and improve application deployment reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, application packaging standards, deployment procedures, and operational knowledge articles.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex application deployment, endpoint software, automation, and application lifecycle issues.

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Intune, application packaging, endpoint application management, or enterprise software deployment.
- Hands-on experience packaging and deploying Windows applications through Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with Win32 applications, MSI, MSIX, application detection logic, deployment configuration, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise application deployment, installation, configuration, and compatibility issues.
- Experience developing scripts or automation to support application deployment, endpoint management, or IT operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow automation platforms.
- Experience building, configuring, supporting, or integrating AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio or a similar enterprise AI platform.
- Understanding of how automation and AI solutions integrate with APIs, connectors, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365, and enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jamf and macOS application packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Intune application management, including assignments, detection rules, dependencies, supersedence, filters, remediation, and reporting.
- Experience with Intune Mobile Application Management and application protection policies.
- Experience supporting application deployment and device provisioning through Windows Autopilot.




- Experience building enterprise workflows or automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Experience designing or supporting AI agents and solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Experience integrating applications and automation using REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, connectors, JSON, and enterprise data sources.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and identity-based access controls as they relate to application access and deployment.
- Experience working in healthcare, financial services, or another regulated setting.
