Role Description The Cafe Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Shalimar Hotel in Mumbai. This role is responsible for overseeing daily cafe operations, including managing staff schedules, supervising service standards, and ensuring a high-quality guest experience.

The Cafe

Manager monitors food and beverage preparation, coordinates with kitchen and hotel teams, manages inventory and ordering, and upholds hygiene and safety standards. The role also involves engaging with guests, handling feedback, optimizing sales, and supporting promotional activities to drive footfall and revenue.

Qualifications

- Solid Customer Service skills,



with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and handling feedback professionally.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu understanding, quality control, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
- Experience in Food Service management, covering table service, counter service, and workflow optimization in a cafe or restaurant setting.
- Sales skills to support upselling, menu promotion, and revenue growth within the cafe environment.
- Prior experience in hospitality or cafe/restaurant management, preferably in a similar upscale setting.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities, including team supervision, scheduling, and training.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
