We are looking for a Biomolecular Structure & Design Specialist with expertise in structural biology, protein science, molecular modeling, computational biology, and biomolecular interactions.
This role is ideal for candidates interested in understanding and analyzing proteins, nucleic acids, molecular structures, binding interactions, and computational approaches to biomolecular design.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze protein, DNA, RNA, and other biomolecular structures
- Interpret molecular structures obtained through X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, NMR, and computational modeling
- Investigate protein structure-function relationships and molecular interactions
- Analyze amino-acid sequences, domains, motifs, mutations, and structural features
- Evaluate protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions
- Perform or review molecular docking, structure prediction, and molecular-dynamics workflows
- Analyze structural databases and biological datasets
- Conduct literature research related to proteins, enzymes, therapeutics, and molecular mechanisms
- Assess the effect of mutations on stability, binding, folding, or biological function
- Review computational predictions for biological and structural consistency
- Prepare scientific summaries and structured research reports
- Work with computational biology and molecular-visualization tools
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology,
Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
- Strong understanding of protein structure, molecular interactions, and biochemistry
- Ability to interpret biomolecular structures and scientific literature
- Familiarity with biological databases and sequence/structure analysis tools
- Robust analytical and scientific reasoning skills
- High attention to biological and scientific accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline
- Experience with PDB, UniProt, AlphaFold, BLAST, PyMOL, ChimeraX, Rosetta, or similar tools
- Experience with molecular docking or molecular-dynamics simulations
- Familiarity with tools such as AutoDock, GROMACS, AMBER, Schrödinger, or similar platforms
- Experience in protein engineering, drug discovery, antibody design, or computational protein design is an advantage
- Familiarity with Python or bioinformatics workflows is a plus
