Role Description The BIM Coordinator is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area, responsible for managing and integrating Building Information Models across architectural and MEP disciplines. This position oversees BIM workflows, coordinates model exchanges, and ensures consistency and accuracy of digital project documentation throughout the design and construction process. The role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve clashes, maintain standards, and support design decisions with detailed model information.

The BIM Coordinator will also assist in setting up templates, implementing BIM protocols,



training team members in BIM tools and processes, and supporting The Open Room’s learning initiatives by contributing to BIM-related educational content.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in BIM Coordination and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Architecture and its integration within BIM-based project delivery.
- Candidates should possess experience working with Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems in a BIM environment.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and communication with multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in common BIM and design tools (such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar software).
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret and manage complex digital models.
- Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an educational and studio setting.
- A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, along with prior BIM coordination experience, is highly beneficial.
