Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced BESS Detailed Engineering Manager to lead and manage detailed engineering activities for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary engineering, reviewing technical designs and drawings,

ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable standards, and supporting procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage detailed engineering activities for BESS projects.
- Coordinate engineering activities across Battery, BMS, PCS, EMS/SCADA, HVAC, Fire

& Safety, Electrical, Civil and Structural disciplines.
- Review and finalize BESS system architecture, equipment selection and technical design.
- Review SLDs, electrical layouts, cable schedules, equipment layouts and other engineering drawings.
- Review battery container/enclosure layouts, battery racks, PCS, transformers, switchgear and auxiliary systems.
- Coordinate BMS, EMS, SCADA, protection, communication and monitoring system interfaces.
- Review HVAC, fire detection, fire suppression and safety system designs for BESS installations.
- Review civil and structural requirements including equipment foundations, container layouts, cable trenches and site infrastructure.




- Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, BOQs and engineering documents.
- Review vendor drawings, technical offers and documents and provide engineering comments and approvals.
- Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable IEC, IEEE, IS, NFPA and projectspecific standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors and internal teams for technical discussions,

design reviews and approvals.
- Support procurement, FAT, installation, testing and commissioning activities by resolving engineering issues.
- Monitor engineering deliverables through the Design Tracker and ensure timely completion.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and ensure proper integration of all BESS systems.
- Lead and mentor the engineering team and ensure quality and timely delivery of project engineering.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in BESS, energy storage, renewable energy or power projects.
- Strong experience in BESS detailed engineering and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
- Good knowledge of Battery Systems, BMS, PCS, EMS/SCADA, HVAC, fire protection and electrical systems.
- Experience in utility-scale BESS and EPC projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant IEC, IEEE, IS, NFPA and project standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical engineering tools and MS Office.
- Robust technical leadership, coordination, problem-solving and project management skills.
