About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in TypeScript, Python, or C# to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems that support millions of users worldwide. You will play a key role in shaping the architecture of our backend services, making critical decisions around data modeling, service boundaries, and component design.

Your work will involve building and deploying reliable APIs, ensuring system robustness through thorough testing and observability, and collaborating closely with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless software solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to own projects end-to-end, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to a growing community of innovative engineers.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in software engineering,



with proven expertise in one or more of the following languages: TypeScript, Python, or C#. You should have hands-on experience designing and versioning REST or GraphQL APIs and be familiar with modern development workflows such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure. Strong system design instincts are essential, including data modeling, component architecture, and event-driven thinking.

Candidates should be comfortable working with relational databases and SQL, as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or similar. A commitment to writing clean, testable, and robust code, backed by solid testing and observability practices, is crucial. Excellent problem-solving skills, debugging capabilities across distributed systems, and effective communication skills in English are also required.

The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment is highly valued.

Responsibilities

- Build and deploy production-ready backend services in TypeScript, Python, or C#, taking ownership from initial implementation through to deployment and maintenance.
- Design, develop, and version REST or GraphQL APIs that define the contract between frontend and backend systems, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Make architectural decisions related to data modeling, service boundaries, and component design, incorporating event-driven architecture principles where appropriate.




- Model and query data across relational and NoSQL databases, selecting the most suitable storage solutions for specific use cases.
- Write clean, well-tested code and establish observability practices to monitor, debug, and improve system performance in live environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold engineering standards.
