Job Title: Chief accounting officer – Finance India D1

Location: Pune, India

Position Summary:

The Financial Control team consists of approximately 70 employees, based primarily out of London and Pune, responsible for the preparation and review of all internal and external financial and regulatory information for the CLIENT PLC Group.

The Chief accounting officer, India is a member of the Group Financial Control team, reporting to the Head of Finance Operations in London.

The Group Financial

Control team are responsible for the internal and external financial and regulatory reporting prepared for the Board, Shareholders and regulators of the CLIENT Group. This includes, but is not limited to, the quarterly financial statements, monthly management reports and regulatory returns. In addition,



the team supports management and the wider business in assessing the impact of accounting and business developments.

The Chief Accounting Officer, India is a senior leadership role within Group Financial Control, reporting to the Head of Finance Operations in London. The role is responsible for building and scaling CLIENT's finance capability in Pune, leading financial control, statutory and regulatory reporting, and supporting the delivery of accurate, timely financial information to management, the Board, shareholders and regulators. The position will partner closely with global finance leaders to drive operational excellence, strengthen the control environment, lead strategic finance transformation initiatives, and develop a scalable finance infrastructure to support CLIENT's continued growth.

The role will actively support the Group Financial Controller in building and ensuring the Financial Control function operates to the highest level of quality, delivering timely and accurate financials and management information to its key internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead the Company’s ongoing development of India’s group finance team in Pune starting with legal entity control function and further expanding to all aspects of Finance functions which includes Supplier solutions, FP&A;, Revenue and Cost control, Balance sheet Investments and substantiation, regulatory returns and financial reporting
- Work closely with CLIENT Head of Finance & Finance director and other peers in London on all areas covering leading and developing finance team in Pune.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, head of finance , controllers
- Drive transformation initiatives from India and best practices adoption
- Demonstrated ability to build capabilities, scale teams and drive operational excellence
- Manage all aspects of the yearly subsidiary audits and all related disclosures, delivering timely and accurate statutory reporting and be the key face off to the external auditors.
- Contribute to the monthly Group financial control close process, overseeing all relevant assigned aspects of data preparation for ingestion into the ERP,



and following through to reviewing the relevant accounting output from the ERP, ensuring all facets align with expectations, and conducting other requisite analytical reviews and substantiation checks.
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly cost reporting, including generating key insights and explains to cost drivers with respect to variances of actuals to prior periods and the budget.
- Review and oversee regulatory reporting for CLIENT regulated entities, typically encompassing accounting, capital, liquidity, and assets under management data.
- Ensure a robust control environment underpins the reporting deliverables. Contribute to the teams development of enhanced control frameworks.
- Evaluate existing processes and booking model changes.
- Work with our internal Tax team to manage the tax elements of our financials.
- Mentor and develop AD/Senior managers, managers and manage and support the growth of other team members.
- Lead and deliver on several key finance and wider CLIENT Group projects
- Develop a knowledge through time of the various key Investments/Assets held on the PLC’s balance sheet, across the various strategies of Corporate Investments, Capital Markets, Real Assets (Real Estate and Infrastructure Equity), and Private Equity Secondaries
- Develop knowledge and implement key accounting changes and pronouncements such as IFRS 18

Key Requirements/ Qualifications:

- 15+ years PQE in either/and: Financial Reporting, Financial Regulatory Reporting or Financial Control.
- Qualified Accountant– ACA or equivalent.
- Past Organisations: Publicly listed organisations, Asset Managers, PE & Venture Capital, Other Financial Services and / or Tier I Consulting/Professional Services firms
- Role requires individual to travel at least twice a year for a week or two to work with CLIENT’s global colleagues in their European office
- IFRS GAAP experience and background in producing IFRS compliant Annual Financial Statements.
- Familiarity with risk and control self-assessment frameworks such as RCSA’s and SOX compliance.
