Role Description The Audit Associate will support audit engagements by assisting in planning, executing, and documenting financial and compliance audits for a variety of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing detailed testing of financial transactions and balances, reviewing financial statements for accuracy and compliance, preparing working papers, and identifying potential control weaknesses or process improvements. The role involves collaborating with senior team members, communicating with client personnel to obtain information and clarifications, and ensuring that audit procedures align with professional standards and firm policies.

This is a full time,



on-site role based in Chennai, requiring regular interaction with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of Financial Statements and core Finance concepts relevant to audit and assurance work.
- Auditing and Financial Audits skills, including familiarity with audit methodologies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience and relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; pursuing or holding professional qualifications (e.g., CA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other standard office tools; experience with audit or accounting software is beneficial.
- Ability to also handle GST and Income tax related compliances is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to changing regulations and client requirements, and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
