Experience in Histopathology and cytopathology, including cervical screening, Hematology.

Grossing, reporting histopathology slides, reporting cervical smears and non-gynaec cytology, reporting frozen sections, performing fine needle aspiration samples, reporting of routine clinical pathology & hematology samples including bone marrow aspiration & biopsy.

Participate in clinicopathological/multidisciplinary/tumor board meetings.

Participate in departmental clinical audit and participate in continuing career development, and ensure relevant quality assurance and proficiency testing.

Directly supervise all activities done by technicians, impart training, coordinate in house training programs.

Directly communicate effectively with clinical colleagues, colleagues in pathology and support staff.

Present effectively to a clinical audience and respond to questions and queries.

Improve the efficiency of different sections of the lab.

Be a part of recruitment, appraisal and job planning of the department.

Contribute to departmental research interests in accordance with Cytecare Hospitals framework.





To conduct all activities within the contracted level of service and operating plan for pathology services in the areas of interest.

To impart training of the newly joined technicians.

Coordinating with consultants, nursing/para medical and non-medical staff of the department to maintain high standards of medical care to the patients.

Organizing work in the laboratory and supervising other laboratory staff.

Conducting the continuing education programmed for technicians.

Ensure compliance to ISO/NABL/NABH accreditation standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Keep up to date with scientific literature connected with their work.

Qualifications

MBBS, MD Pathology

Must have skills

- Expertise in Histopathology,Cytology&Hematology;
- Experience in grossing and tissue processing
- Strong Microscopy and Diagnostic skills
- knowledge of laboratory quality control & NABL Standards

Good to have skills
- Experience in Oncopathology
