JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Experience pathway: Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on production planning experience in the flexible packaging industry.
- High-potential pathway: Engineering graduate from an IIT or NIT with strong analytical ability, comfort with data & statistics, and demonstrated aptitude for operational excellence; relevant manufacturing or planning exposure is preferred.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity and constraint planning, material requirements, inventory control, order prioritization, and delivery performance in a converting/manufacturing environment.
- Advanced working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data-based problem solving; experience with SAP and Power BI will be favorable.




- Demonstrated capability in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and disciplined execution.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and follow-through skills, with the ability to work effectively under time-sensitive and changing priorities.
- This is a high-responsibility role requiring round-the-clock ownership and availability to respond to critical production, material, capacity, or customer-delivery issues, including outside normal working hours when needed.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Own the end-to-end production planning and scheduling process for the Silvassa plant, converting customer demand into feasible daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.

· Develop and continuously update machine-wise and process-wise schedules across flexible packaging operations, considering capacity, changeovers, tooling, materials, manpower, maintenance, quality holds, and downstream constraints.

· Balance customer priorities, promised delivery dates, inventory objectives, campaign efficiencies, and cost to maximize on-time-in-full performance and asset utilization.

· Lead daily production-planning reviews with Production, Customer Service, Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance; communicate priorities, constraints, risks,



and recovery actions clearly.

· Monitor plan-versus-actual performance, schedule adherence, backlog, capacity utilization, inventory, waste, changeover losses, and service levels; use data to identify deviations and drive timely corrective action.

· Run capacity simulations and scenario analyses for demand changes, urgent orders, machine breakdowns, material shortages, and quality disruptions; establish practical recovery plans and escalate decisions promptly.

· Ensure ERP/MRP master data, bills of material, routings, lead times, yields, planning parameters, and production-order status are accurate and support reliable decision-making.

· Partner with Procurement and Warehouse teams to align raw materials, films, papers, adhesives, inks, release coatings, packaging materials, and outsourced processes with the production plan.

· Drive operational-excellence projects that improve planning accuracy, throughput, schedule stability, working capital, waste, and customer service.

· Maintain round-the-clock oversight of critical orders and constraints, coordinating rapid cross-functional response whenever plant performance or customer commitments are at risk.

SECONDARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare and present production-planning dashboards, service and capacity reports, inventory outlooks, and risk summaries for plant leadership.

· Standardize planning processes, visual management, escalation routines, and contingency plans, and support S&OP;, new-product introductions, trials, audits, and other cross-functional improvement initiatives as assigned.
