Role Description The Art Portfolio Mentor is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai, responsible for guiding learners in developing strong, cohesive art portfolios for academic, professional, or personal goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring learners one-on-one and in small groups, reviewing and critiquing artwork, and helping them curate and present their work effectively. The mentor will design and facilitate portfolio-building sessions, workshops, and experiential activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and attention to detail.





This role involves collaborating with other educators to align portfolio guidance with broader learning objectives and providing ongoing feedback, support, and resources tailored to each learner’s needs. The mentor will also maintain documentation of learner progress and contribute to creating a supportive, inclusive studio environment.

Qualifications

- Strong artistic background with proficiency in drawing, painting, or mixed media and demonstrated portfolio development experience.
- Experience mentoring or teaching learners in art or design, especially in portfolio preparation for schools, colleges, or professional applications.
- Ability to guide concept development, visual storytelling, and project-based work, with a focus on creativity and critical thinking.
- Skills in giving constructive feedback, critiquing artwork sensitively, and helping learners refine and present their work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, learner-centric environment.
- Comfort in facilitating on-site workshops and studio sessions, managing time and resources effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree or formal training in Fine Arts, Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with art school or design school admission requirements and portfolio standards is an advantage.
- Commitment to inclusive practices, environmental awareness, and supporting learners’ emotional well-being.
