Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Collections Manager role based in Bhopal.

The Area Collections

Manager will oversee collections operations across an assigned geographic area, ensuring timely recovery of dues while maintaining customer relationships and compliance with company policies. Daily responsibilities include monitoring portfolio performance, analyzing collection reports, and guiding branch-level collection teams to meet recovery targets. The role involves organizing and supervising field visits, coordinating with legal and operations teams on delinquent accounts, and implementing strategies to reduce non-performing assets.

The Area Collections

Manager will also train and mentor collection staff,



establish best practices, and provide regular updates and forecasts to regional leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in collections management, portfolio monitoring, and recovery planning, with the ability to drive performance across multiple branches.
- Competence in data analysis, reporting, and use of MS Excel or similar tools to interpret collection metrics and support decision-making.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management, including customer communication, team coordination, and collaboration with legal and operations functions.
- Experience in field collections, including organizing visits, negotiating repayment plans, and handling overdue accounts professionally and ethically.
- Knowledge of housing finance or retail lending processes, especially in affordable housing or NBFC/HFC environments, is highly beneficial.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing and motivating on-ground collections teams.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and local languages, with an ability to handle sensitive customer interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field; relevant skilled certifications in credit or collections are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area and work from branch locations as required.
