Company Description Custom Design Stories is an innovative boutique design firm specializing in architecture, interior design, and furniture design. Founded in January 2020 by Aditya Tognatta and a dedicated team, the firm focuses on redefining industry norms and moving beyond standard, trend-driven solutions. The studio crafts tailor-made designs that prioritize the unique personality and needs of each client rather than popular online aesthetics.

Projects often explore the relationship between form, materials, and function, aiming to create spaces that are both captivating and meaningful. Every design reflects the distinct character of the client while embodying the creative ethos of the CDS office.

Role Description The Architect will work full time in office at the Custom Design Stories studio in New Delhi. This role involves developing architectural concepts, producing detailed drawings, and collaborating with the design team on interior and furniture integration for residential, commercial, and experimental projects. The Architect will coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors, participate in site visits, and monitor project progress to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained.

Daily responsibilities include preparing design presentations, refining material and finish selections, and contributing to project documentation and approvals.



The role also requires proactive problem-solving, clear communication with stakeholders, and active participation in design reviews and critiques.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and detailing.
- Candidates should possess relevant Software Development and Integration skills as applied to design workflows, such as proficiency with design tools and coordination of digital models.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Management abilities, including planning, scheduling, coordination with stakeholders, and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar) and visualization tools (e.g., Photoshop, Enscape, Lumion) is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution is preferred, along with knowledge of local building codes and regulatory processes.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and collaborators.
- Experience in high-end residential or bespoke commercial projects, and an interest in materials, furniture, and interior detailing, will be an advantage.
