Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Android Developer to join our technology team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

You will work closely with Product, UI/UX, Backend, and QA teams to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications.
- Develop clean, scalable, and reusable code using Kotlin and Java.
- Work with Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack and modern Android development practices.
- Implement application architecture using MVVM / Clean Architecture.
- Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit/OkHttp and handle JSON data.
- Implement local data storage using Room/SQLite.
- Integrate third-party SDKs and services such as Firebase, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting.
- Troubleshoot bugs, crashes, performance issues, and application stability problems.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Write unit and UI tests to ensure application quality.
- Work with Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Developers, and QA teams.
- Support application releases and updates through the Google Play Store.




- Stay updated with the latest Android technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills
- 3–6 years of professional experience in Android development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and good knowledge of Java.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Hands-on experience with MVVM / Clean Architecture.
- Good understanding of Android Jetpack components such as ViewModel, Navigation, Room and WorkManager.
- Experience with REST APIs, Retrofit, OkHttp and JSON.
- Valuable understanding of Android lifecycle, threading and Coroutines.
- Experience with Git and standard development workflows.
- Experience with Firebase services such as FCM, Crashlytics and Analytics is preferred.
- Good understanding of UI/UX principles and Material Design.
- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with Hilt/Dagger for Dependency Injection.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience publishing applications on Google Play Store.
- Knowledge of automated testing and performance optimization.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
