₹6–8 Lakhs per annum
Compensation will be finalized based on experience and suitability.
Qualification
Graduate in any discipline. A qualification in Logistics, Shipping or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
- Job Summary
Responsible for managing end-to-end Air Import and Export Operations as the primary responsibility (approximately 70%), along with supporting and handling Ocean Import and Export Operations (approximately 30%).
The role involves shipment execution, pricing, customer service, documentation, coordination with airlines, shipping lines, overseas agents, CHA and transporters, ensuring timely clearance, delivery, operational accuracy and high customer satisfaction.
- Key ResponsibilitiesA. Air Freight Operations – Primary Responsibility
- Independently manage end-to-end Air Import and Air Export shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Coordinate with airlines, consolidators, overseas agents, CHA, transporters and internal teams for smooth shipment execution.
- Monitor flight schedules, cargo arrivals, departures, clearance and delivery timelines.
- Handle shipment exceptions, delays and operational escalations effectively.
- Ensure timely pre-alerts, shipment updates and communication with customers and overseas agents.
- Ensure proper job file management and adherence to operational SOPs.
- Monitor pending shipments and take proactive action to avoid delays.
B. Air Freight Pricing & Customer Service
- Obtain competitive rates from airlines, consolidators and overseas agents.
- Prepare and submit timely freight quotations to customers.
- Negotiate freight rates while maintaining competitiveness and profitability.
- Monitor airline rates, surcharges and market developments.
- Act as a key point of contact for assigned Air Freight customers.
- Provide regular shipment status updates and resolve customer queries and escalations.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
C. Air Freight Documentation & Compliance
- Review and ensure accuracy of MAWB, HAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists and other Air Freight documents.
- Ensure compliance with airline, customs and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with CHA and relevant authorities for smooth customs clearance.
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance for operational and audit purposes.
- Minimize documentation errors and ensure timely completion of shipment formalities.
D. Ocean Freight Operations – Secondary Responsibility
- Handle and support Ocean Import and Export shipments, including FCL and LCL operations.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, CHA and transporters.
- Monitor vessel schedules, bookings, cargo cut-offs, arrivals, clearance and delivery.
- Handle shipment documentation, pre-alerts and customer communication.
- Support resolution of operational issues related to Ocean Import and Export shipments.
- Ensure timely completion of Ocean Freight shipments as per customer requirements.
E. Ocean Freight Documentation & Coordination
- Review shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and related documents.
- Coordinate with shipping lines and overseas agents for shipment status and documentation.
- Support customs clearance and cargo delivery activities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of Ocean shipment files and records.
F. MIS & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly operational MIS reports.
- Monitor shipment volumes, service levels, pending shipments and operational performance.
- Track key operational KPIs and highlight deviations to management.
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of shipment information in the ERP or operational systems.
- Support management with operational analysis and performance reports.
G. Team Coordination & Process Improvement
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth execution of Air and Ocean shipments.
- Prioritize Air Freight operations as the core responsibility while efficiently managing Ocean Freight activities.
- Provide operational guidance and support to junior team members.
- Identify recurring operational issues and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and customer requirements.
3. Essential SkillsAir Freight – Primary Requirement
- Strong knowledge of Air Import and Air Export Operations.
- Good understanding of MAWB, HAWB, airline procedures and customs clearance processes.
- Experience in coordinating with airlines, consolidators,
overseas agents and CHA.
- Exposure to Air Freight Pricing and rate negotiation.
- Ability to independently manage multiple Air Freight shipments.
Ocean Freight – Secondary Requirement
- Working knowledge of Ocean Import and Export Operations.
- Understanding of FCL and LCL shipments.
- Knowledge of Bill of Lading and basic Ocean Freight documentation.
- Experience coordinating with shipping lines, NVOCCs and overseas agents.
General Skills
- Strong customer service and escalation management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and logistics or ERP systems.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced workplace.

4. Preferred Candidate Profile
- 70% experience and expertise in Air Freight Import and Export Operations is mandatory.
- Exposure to Ocean Import and Export Operations will be an added advantage.
- Candidates from Freight Forwarding, International Logistics or Shipping companies are preferred.
- Experience in Air Freight Pricing, Customer Service and Operations will be highly preferred.
- Should be capable of independently handling operational issues and customer escalations.
- Experience coordinating with airlines, shipping lines, CHA, overseas agents and transporters is essential.
Pay: ₹25,527.61 - ₹80,000.00 per month
