About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI/LLM Engineer with strong Python expertise to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large language model (LLM)-powered applications and AI systems at scale. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, taking ownership from initial prototyping to production deployment.

Your work will directly impact the development of innovative AI features that enhance our products and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building scalable AI solutions, a deep understanding of LLM APIs and frameworks, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to translate complex product needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Python programming language,



with extensive experience in developing backend services.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks for building APIs.
- Experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or comparable providers.
- Strong understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings, vector search, and related technologies like Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector.
- Practical knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and experience working in containerized environments.
- Experience with data storage solutions including PostgreSQL, Redis, or equivalent.
- Ability to develop and implement functional and integration tests, especially for evaluating AI/LLM output quality.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy features and applications powered by large language models using Python.
- Create and maintain backend services and APIs to expose AI/LLM capabilities to other systems and applications.
- Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including embedding creation, vector search, and retrieval strategies.
- Design, test, and refine prompts, agents, and orchestration workflows utilizing frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.




- Integrate with various LLM providers and manage tradeoffs related to cost, latency, and output quality.
- Systematically evaluate model outputs, develop tooling, and establish metrics to test for accuracy, safety, and regression across iterations.
- Work with containerized environments and data infrastructure such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and vector databases to ensure reliable AI system deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate product requirements into scalable AI solutions.
