Role Description This is a full-time, in office Accountant role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, preparing vouchers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. The role involves preparing financial statements and reports, supporting statutory and regulatory compliances, assisting with corporate tax planning and management, and coordinating with auditors for internal and external audits.
The Accountant will manage payroll-related accounting entries, monitor accounts receivable and payable, and ensure timely invoicing and payments.
The role also includes collaborating with legal and compliance teams to align financial records with corporate governance and regulatory requirements, while maintaining accurate documentation and up-to-date financial records in accounting systems.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry posting, bank reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.
- Candidates should possess experience in statutory and regulatory compliance, such as GST, TDS, corporate tax, and other applicable Indian financial and corporate regulations.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, spreadsheets, and basic financial analysis tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in payroll and expense management, including processing salary-related entries, managing reimbursements, and tracking accounts payable and receivable.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with legal, compliance, and advisory teams, and to support audits and client reporting.
- A relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate high ethical standards in handling financial information.
