Role Description The Accountant role at Abybaby Events Private Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. This role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cash flow, and supporting internal financial reporting.

The Accountant will ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies, while coordinating with internal teams, external auditors, and vendors as needed.



The position also includes maintaining accurate documentation, improving financial processes, and providing timely financial insights to support management decisions.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, bank reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Knowledge of tax laws, regulatory compliance, and statutory reporting relevant to Indian accounting and corporate practices.
- Experience using accounting and ERP software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar tools) and solid skills in MS Excel and other office productivity applications.
- Ability to analyze financial data, support budgeting and forecasting, monitor cash flow, and generate clear, accurate financial reports.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- 2-5 yrs of experience as an accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within events, marketing, or service-oriented industries, is beneficial.
- Should know MS Office (Powerpoint and word).
- Should have knowledge about the GST and TDS calculations.
