The DESIM (D. E. Shaw Investment Management) group at D. E. Shaw & Co. is looking for an Associate/Member TechOps to join its Tech Operations team in Hyderabad. The team works closely with global counterparts to support a wide range of technology tools and financial datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day technical operations and production support for business-critical systems.
- Monitor, triage, troubleshoot and resolve production issues within defined timelines.
- Review logs, analyze errors and debug issues across application, data and system layers.
- Support software deployments, configuration changes and production releases with minimal business impact.
- Take end-to-end ownership of incidents and coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, business users and external partners.
- Collaborate with third-party data vendors during critical incidents and data-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and document incidents, actions taken and resolutions.




- Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve efficiency.
- Leverage AI/LLM-assisted tools where appropriate to reduce manual operational effort.
- Follow production support, incident management and operational best practices.
- Prioritize multiple issues effectively in a energetic, business-critical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience in the finance/investment banking domain.
- Experience supporting financial applications, datasets or business-critical systems.
- Exposure to automation, monitoring and CI/CD tools.

Desired Profile of the Candidate: Candidates with strong technical troubleshooting and production support experience, hands-on programming/scripting skills, and exposure to Linux/Unix environments. Candidates from FinTech, Banking, Financial Services or Product-based organizations are preferred. Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
