About the Role We are looking for a Software Development Engineer I (SDE-1) to join our engineering team and help build scalable, reliable, and high-quality software. As an SDE-1, you will work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to develop new features, fix bugs, improve product performance, and contribute to building a world-class engineering organization. This role is ideal for engineers who have strong programming fundamentals, enjoy solving challenging problems, and are eager to learn up-to-date software engineering practices. Key Responsibilities - Develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services. - Build current product features under the guidance of senior engineers. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices. - Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software. - Participate in code reviews and continuously improve code quality. - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues. - Write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability. - Learn and follow software architecture,



coding standards, and development processes. - Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Continuously improve technical skills by learning new technologies, tools, and engineering best practices. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 1–2 years of professional software development experience. - Strong knowledge of JavaScript and modern programming concepts. - Hands-on experience with the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). - Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development. - Familiarity with building and consuming REST APIs. - Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures, and Algorithms. - Basic understanding of database concepts and MongoDB. - Familiarity with Git and version control workflows. - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Good communication and collaboration skills. - Passion for learning and building scalable software. Preferred Qualifications - Strong experience in delivering backend-focused projects - Hands-on experience with MongoDB and the complete MERN stack - Familiarity with both frontend and backend development - Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to Redis, messaging queues, or microservices is a plus. - Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
