About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven and result-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist with strong experience in hiring for Schools, Colleges, and Education Institutions.
The ideal candidate should have excellent expertise in end-to-end recruitment, candidate sourcing, stakeholder management, salary negotiation, offer conversion, and aggressive closure of positions. The person should be comfortable working on multiple critical positions simultaneously and should have a strong sense of urgency toward meeting hiring targets.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Recruitment
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from Manpower Requisition to Joining.
- Understand hiring requirements from School, College, Academic and Management teams.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies for academic, non-academic, administrative and management positions.
- Handle multiple positions and ensure timely closure as per business requirements.
2. Education Sector Hiring
- Hands-on experience in hiring for:
- Schools – Teachers, Coordinators, Principals, Vice Principals, Administrators, etc.
- Colleges – Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, HODs, Deans, etc.
- Management – Senior Management, Functional Heads, Directors and other leadership positions.
- Non-academic and support functions.
- Build a strong talent pipeline across academic and management roles.
3. Aggressive Hiring & Closure
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and ownership toward recruitment targets.
- Drive positions aggressively until closure rather than merely generating candidate pipelines.
- Follow up continuously with candidates, interview panels and management to avoid delays.
- Minimize Time-to-Fill and Offer-to-Joining dropouts.
- Take ownership of difficult and critical positions and ensure closure within agreed timelines.
4. Sourcing & Talent Mapping
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, social media, employee referrals,
consultants, qualified networks and other channels.
- Build and maintain an active database of potential candidates.
- Conduct market mapping and identify talent from competing schools, colleges and education institutions.
- Develop strong candidate networks for recurring and niche positions.
5. Interview Coordination
- Screen candidates based on technical, academic, behavioural and organizational requirements.
- Coordinate interviews with HODs, Principals, Academic Leaders and Management.
- Ensure timely feedback from interviewers and maintain recruitment trackers.
- Maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
6. Salary Negotiation & Offer Management
- Lead salary discussions and negotiations with selected candidates.
- Understand candidate expectations and negotiate effectively within approved budgets.
- Handle counteroffers and competing offers proactively.
- Drive candidates from selection to offer acceptance and joining.
- Develop strategies to reduce offer dropouts and joining cancellations.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Management, Principals, Deans, HODs and functional leaders to understand hiring priorities.
- Provide regular recruitment updates and hiring reports.
- Challenge unrealistic timelines or hiring expectations constructively and propose practical solutions.
- Act as a strong recruitment partner to the business.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be someone who:
- Has proven experience hiring for Schools, Colleges and Education Institutions.
- Is hands-on and execution-focused, rather than purely strategic.
- Has a proven track record of closing difficult positions.
- Is confident in dealing with senior candidates and management.
- Is highly effective at salary negotiation and candidate conversion.
- Does not give up easily on difficult positions.
- Has strong follow-up discipline and a closure mindset.
- Can work with aggressive hiring targets and tight timelines.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in HR, Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be an advantage.
- 3–7 years of relevant Talent Acquisition experience, preferably in the Education sector.
