Job Title: Medical Coder – Radiology / Sonography Department: Medical Coding Location: Chennai Experience: 2 to 8 Years Shift: Day / Flexible Shift Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder specializing in Radiology and Sonography coding to accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier codes for diagnostic imaging services. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of radiology procedures, ultrasound/sonography coding guidelines, payer-specific requirements, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities - Review and analyze medical records, radiology reports, physician documentation, and diagnostic imaging records. - Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers for Radiology and Sonography encounters. - Code services related to: - Diagnostic Radiology - Ultrasound / Sonography - CT Scan - MRI - Mammography - Nuclear Medicine - Interventional Radiology - Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with payer regulations and coding guidelines.



- Identify documentation gaps and communicate clarification requirements. - Perform audits and quality reviews to maintain coding accuracy standards. - Meet assigned productivity and quality targets. - Stay updated with annual coding guideline changes and payer-specific updates. Required Skills - Robust knowledge of: - ICD-10-CM - CPT Coding - HCPCS - Modifiers - NCCI Edits - LCD/NCD Guidelines - Expertise in Radiology and Sonography coding concepts. - Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. - Knowledge of US healthcare reimbursement methodologies and payer requirements. - Good analytical and communication skills. Eligibility - Experience in Radiology Coding / Diagnostic Imaging Coding. - Experience in Sonography / Ultrasound coding preferred. - Certified coder with any of the following: - CPC - CCS - CIC - COC - CRC (preferred)
