Role Overview

n

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in website development, WordPress customization, and modern web technologies. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience who are eager to build, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
n
- Install, configure, and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
n
- Build responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
n
- Assist in implementing website layouts based on design requirements.
n
- Update website content, images, and pages through WordPress CMS.
n
- Troubleshoot website issues and fix bugs under guidance from senior developers.
n
- Integrate forms, third-party plugins, APIs, and tracking tools as required.
n
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, mobile responsiveness, and SEO.
n
- Perform regular website updates, backups, and maintenance activities.
n




- Test websites across different browsers and devices to ensure compatibility.
n
- Follow coding standards and maintain proper documentation.
n

Required Skills

- Good understanding of WordPress CMS.
n
- Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
n
- Familiarity with WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders (Elementor preferred).
n
- Understanding of responsive web design principles.
n
- Basic knowledge of website hosting, domains, and DNS concepts.
n
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
n
- Understanding of website performance and SEO fundamentals.
n
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
n
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Valuable to Have

- Knowledge of jQuery.
n
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.

- Familiarity with WooCommerce.
n
- Exposure to Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

- Basic understanding of AI tools and Generative AI applications for content and productivity.

- Knowledge of website security best practices.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications or project experience in WordPress development will be an added advantage.

Experience
