Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior IT Manager to manage and oversee the organization’s complete IT infrastructure, systems, networks, cybersecurity, software applications, and technical support operations. The candidate will ensure reliable, secure, and uninterrupted IT services across all departments and hospital units.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall IT infrastructure, including servers, computers, networks, Wi-Fi, printers, CCTV, biometric systems, and other IT equipment.
- Plan, implement, maintain, and upgrade IT systems according to organizational requirements.
- Manage hospital Hospital Information System (HIS/HMIS), ERP, EMR/EHR, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, and other software applications.
- Ensure smooth operation of internet connectivity, LAN/WAN, VPN, email, cloud services, and communication systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical problems, and ensure timely resolution of IT issues.
- Develop and implement IT security, data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity policies.
- Ensure regular data backup and recovery testing to prevent data loss.
- Manage IT vendors, AMC contracts, software licenses, hardware procurement, and service providers.
- Maintain complete records of IT assets, licenses, warranties, and maintenance activities.
- Lead and supervise the IT support team and allocate responsibilities effectively.
- Provide technical support and training to staff for IT systems and software.
- Monitor CCTV, access-control, biometric attendance, and other integrated technology systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable data-security and privacy requirements.
- Prepare IT budgets, annual plans, MIS reports, and management presentations.
- Identify opportunities for digital transformation and automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with management and departmental heads for implementation of current technology projects.
- Ensure minimum downtime and quick resolution of critical IT incidents.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, cybersecurity, and database management.
- Experience with hospital IT systems such as HIS/HMIS, EMR/EHR, LIS, PACS, pharmacy and billing systems.
- Good knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, cloud services, backup systems, and network security.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi, and structured networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Vendor and IT project management skills.
- Excellent team leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical IT incidents.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a hospital, healthcare organization, eye hospital, or multispeciality hospital will be preferred.
- Experience managing IT operations across multiple hospital locations will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in CCTV, biometric systems, hospital software integration, and cybersecurity will be preferred.
