Role Purpose

This role offers an opportunity to build and institutionalize the Health, Safety & Setting (HSE) function from the ground up by establishing robust systems, processes, and best practices. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring statutory compliance, driving a proactive safety culture, and implementing sustainable initiatives that enhance operational excellence across plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement HSE policies, systems, SOPs, and compliance frameworks across the plant, including setting up processes from the ground level.

- Establish and strengthen HSE practices, systems, and reporting mechanisms to build a sustainable safety culture.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, labor, mining, and industrial regulations.

- Conduct safety audits, inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Drive safety initiatives including employee trainings, toolbox talks, mock drills, emergency preparedness programs, and PPE compliance.

- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, perform root cause analysis, and ensure closure of corrective actions.

- Maintain HSE documentation, statutory records, permits, audit reports, and MIS dashboards.





- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and external authorities on safety and compliance matters.

- Support environmental management initiatives, waste management practices, and continuous improvement projects.

- Promote employee engagement and awareness to foster a proactive and preventive safety culture across the organization.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech (Chemical/Polymer/Environmental or related discipline) with a Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent.

- Preferred Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent HSE certifications.

- 3-4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, chemical, polymer, or process industries.

- Hands-on experience in setting up or strengthening HSE systems and compliance processes.

- Strong exposure to safety audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and HSE documentation.

- Sound knowledge of statutory regulations and environmental compliance requirements.

- Good communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.

- Ability to work independently and drive HSE initiatives from concept to implementation.

- Should be able to relocate.
