Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate Software Tester (QA Engineer) to join our software development team. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for testing our web and software applications to ensure they meet high standards of quality, performance, usability, and reliability. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product team members to identify bugs, improve user experience, and ensure smooth product releases.

The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of software testing processes.

Responsibilities

- Perform manual testing of web and software applications

- Identify, document, and report bugs and issues clearly

- Create and execute test cases and test scenarios

- Test recent features before deployment

- Perform regression testing after bug fixes and updates

- Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues

- Verify fixes and ensure issues are properly resolved

- Test applications across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes

- Check application functionality, usability, and performance

- Participate in requirement discussions and provide QA feedback

- Maintain proper documentation of test cases and reported bugs

- Help improve the overall quality assurance process

- Perform basic API testing when required

- Assist in automation testing initiatives where applicable





Requirements

- 1+ years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance

- Strong understanding of manual testing concepts and processes

- Experience testing web applications

- Ability to create and execute test cases

- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC

- Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs

- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar tools

- Basic understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools

- Knowledge of different browsers, devices, and responsive testing

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent attention to detail

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

- Basic understanding of databases and SQL is a plus

- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress

- Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or another programming language

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

- Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus

- Experience working with Git and software development workflows
