About the Role
Asia-Pacific Institute of Management (AIM) is looking for a creative, energetic and camera-confident Social Media Executive who can become one of the key digital faces of the institute.
This is not just a social media posting role. We are looking for someone who can identify stories happening across campus, turn them into engaging content, appear on camera, interview students and industry leaders, create reels, coordinate shoots and ensure that AIM's social media channels remain active, relevant and engaging throughout the year.
The ideal candidate should understand what works on Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social platforms and be comfortable taking ownership of content from idea shoot coordination publishing performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Be the Digital Face of AIM
- Regularly appear in reels, campus videos, interviews and other social media content.
- Host short-form videos covering campus life, programmes, events, placements, student experiences and industry interactions.
- Develop a relatable and credible on-camera personality representing AIM.
- Create content that makes prospective students feel connected to the institute before they even visit the campus.
1. Reels & Short-Form Video Content
- Conceptualise and create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form videos.
- Identify trending formats, sounds, topics and content styles relevant to students and management education.
- Develop scripts, hooks and concepts that improve reach and engagement.
- Work with videographers/editors or independently coordinate shoots and production.
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of fresh video content.

- Own the monthly social media content calendar.

- Ensure regular and timely publishing across AIM's social media channels.
- Work with designers to create static posts, carousels, stories and other creatives.
1. Interviews & Conversations
- Identify interesting people and stories that can become social media content.
- Conduct interviews with students, faculty members, alumni and recruiters.
- Coordinate and host conversations with CEOs, founders, industry professionals and other guests visiting the campus.
- Proactively identify and approach new personalities for interviews, podcasts and collaborations.
- Develop new recurring interview/content formats for AIM.
1. Campus Content & Event Coverage
- Stay closely connected with different departments to know what is happening across campus.
- Cover key events, guest lectures, conferences, workshops, placements and student activities.
- Capture real-time content including stories, behind-the-scenes footage and student reactions.
- Ensure important campus activities are converted into engaging digital content rather than simply documented.

The Social Media Executive will actively source stories and information from these teams and convert them into content.

• Social Media Management
- Manage AIM's presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and other relevant platforms.
- Monitor comments, messages, mentions and conversations around the institute.
- Encourage student participation and user-generated content.
- Build relationships with students who can become campus creators and ambassadors.
- Maintain consistent brand voice and communication across platforms.

- Track monthly performance including reach, views, engagement, follower growth and high-performing content.
- Identify which content formats are working and continuously improve the content strategy.
- Experiment with new formats rather than relying only on conventional institutional posts.
- Benchmark AIM's social media presence against leading B-schools and education brands.

Performance will primarily be evaluated on:
Content Output: Consistent delivery of the agreed monthly social media calendar.
Video & Reels: Regular production of high-quality, engaging short-form video content.
On-Camera Presence: Ability to confidently represent AIM across videos, interviews and digital campaigns.
Social Growth: Improvement in organic reach, engagement, video views and follower growth.
Content Innovation: Introduction of fresh formats, campaigns, series and creative ideas.
Interview Pipeline: Consistently sourcing and conducting interviews with students, alumni, faculty, recruiters and industry professionals.
Campus Coverage: Ensuring major activities and achievements across AIM are captured and communicated effectively.
Coordination: Ability to independently work across departments and ensure a steady flow of content.
Brand Building: Making AIM's social media presence more modern, youthful, credible and aspirational.
Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate should:
- Be highly comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
- Have a strong understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
- Understand current social media trends and youth-oriented content.
- Have strong communication and interviewing skills.
- Be able to write scripts, captions, hooks and basic social media copy.
- Have a strong eye for storytelling and visual content.
- Be proactive rather than waiting for content to be assigned.
- Be comfortable approaching students, faculty, senior executives and industry guests.
- Be organised enough to manage a monthly content calendar.
- Understand basic social media analytics.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-moving campus environment.
Basic video shooting/editing knowledge using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar platforms would be an advantage.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first few months, we want the Social Media Executive to build a recognisable personality and content style for AIM.
Our objective is to move beyond conventional institutional social media and create a channel that students actually want to follow combining campus life, careers, management education, student stories, industry insights and entertaining short-form content.
The person joining us should ultimately help make AIM's digital presence feel as active and dynamic as the campus itself.
