Role & responsibilities
- Perform steady-state and transient thermal analyses of various Systems.
- Develop thermal models at component, subsystem and system levels.
- Perform heat-transfer analysis involving: Conduction, Convection, Radiation, Conjugate heat transfer, Thermal-fluid networks
- Develop 2-D/3-D thermal resistance and thermal-fluid network models for system-level involving multiphase analysis.
- Perform thermal trade studies and recommend design solutions considering temperature limits, mass, performance and manufacturability. Determine component and system-level thermal margins.
- Generate thermal boundary conditions and temperature fields for structural and thermomechanical analyses.
- Support selection and sizing of insulation, radiation shields, heat sinks, heat straps and other thermal-control solutions.
- Support thermal test planning, instrumentation selection and test-data analysis.
- Investigate thermal anomalies and failure mechanisms and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop engineering tools and automate analysis workflows using Python, MATLAB or equivalent.
- Prepare thermal analysis reports, design-review material and verification documentation.
- Work closely with 3D modelling, fabrication,
recipe and analytical teams.
Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years industrial experience in Ansys. COMSOL, for industrial problems with modelling tool as SolidWorks.
- Strong fundamentals in: Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Radiation, Numerical Methods
- Experience developing and interpreting thermal models.
- Ability to translate physical systems into appropriate thermal networks and boundary conditions.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently own an analysis problem from problem definition through design recommendation and closure

Salary : 45,000 to 75,000
