ServiceNow ITOM/ITAM Architect

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow ITOM/ITAM Architect to lead the architecture and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across IT Operations Management (ITOM) and/or IT Asset Management (ITAM).

The ideal candidate will have strong ServiceNow development experience combined with proven platform-level architecture and implementation leadership. Candidates must have independently led 2 - 3 end-to-end ServiceNow ITOM and/or ITAM implementations from scratch in an Architect role.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own the ServiceNow platform architecture for ITOM and/or ITAM implementations.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of ServiceNow ITOM/ITAM solutions, from discovery and requirements through architecture, development, testing, deployment and stabilization.
- Design scalable, secure and maintainable ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Conduct technical and architectural workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow technical solutions.
- Define integration architecture between ServiceNow and enterprise applications, infrastructure and third-party systems.
- Establish development standards, best practices, governance and reusable frameworks.
- Review technical designs, configurations, customizations and integrations.
- Guide ServiceNow developers and technical teams on architecture and implementation decisions.
- Identify opportunities to maximize out-of-the-box ServiceNow capabilities and minimize unnecessary customization.
- Support platform upgrades, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance,



scalability and maintainability requirements.
- Collaborate with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Security, Asset Management, CMDB and other technology teams.

ITOM Expertise Candidates should have solid hands-on architectural experience in one or more ITOM capabilities, such as:
- ServiceNow Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Event Management
- Operational Intelligence
- CMDB
- Configuration Management
- ITOM Visibility
- Cloud Discovery / Cloud Management
- MID Server architecture and deployment
- CMDB data model and governance
- CSDM
- Integration with monitoring and infrastructure tools

ITAM Expertise Experience with ServiceNow ITAM capabilities such as:
- Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
- Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Asset lifecycle management
- Contract and procurement integration
- Software license management
- Hardware inventory and tracking
- Asset reconciliation
- Vendor and entitlement management
- Integration with procurement, finance and inventory systems

Required Technical Skills
- Strong ServiceNow platform architecture and development experience.
- Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, configuration and customization.
- Strong understanding of ITOM and/or ITAM modules.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations and APIs.
- REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns.
- JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
- Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies and ACLs.
- Flow Designer / IntegrationHub.




- CMDB and CSDM knowledge.
- Understanding of ServiceNow data model and platform governance.
- Experience with enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.

Mandatory Experience
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 8+ years of ServiceNow development/implementation experience.
- 3+ years of experience working as a ServiceNow Architect.
- Must have led at least 2 - 3 end-to-end ServiceNow ITOM and/or ITAM implementations from scratch in an Architect role.
- Strong experience in platform-level architecture and solution design.
- Experience leading technical teams and working with senior business/technology stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ITOM and/or ITAM.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Experience with large enterprise/global ServiceNow transformations.
- Experience with CMDB, CSDM and ServiceNow platform governance.

What We Are Looking For We are specifically looking for candidates who have built and architected ITOM/ITAM solutions from the ground up, not candidates whose experience is limited to ServiceNow administration, production support, maintenance or minor enhancements.

Candidates should be able to clearly explain:

- The 23 ITOM/ITAM implementations they have architected.
- Their role and level of ownership in each implementation.
- The architecture decisions they made.
- Modules/capabilities implemented.
- Integrations designed.
- Team size and stakeholders managed.
- Challenges encountered and how they were resolved.
- Go-live and post-production responsibilities.
