Job Description
Role Looking for a Senior Embedded Linux / Kernel Architect to lead the architecture and development of a Linux-based POS platform. The role will involve Linux kernel, BSP, device drivers, hardware integration and partner/vendor SDKs, while providing technical leadership to the engineering team. Key Skills - 10+ years of experience in Embedded Linux / Linux Kernel - Strong C/C++ and Linux internals expertise - Experience with BSP, device drivers and middleware architecture - Strong knowledge of Yocto / Buildroot and embedded Linux build systems - Hands-on experience with USB, UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, networking and ARM - Experience integrating vendor SDKs, BSPs and hardware platforms - Strong debugging across application, middleware, driver and kernel layers - Experience with boot process, kernel configuration, cross-compilation and system bring-up - Ability to define architecture,
evaluate technologies and solve complex hardware/software integration issues - Strong technical leadership and stakeholder/partner management skills Good to Have - POS / payment terminal experience - Android HAL / AOSP and Android-to-Linux porting - NFC, EMV, card readers, printers and scanners - Qualcomm, NXP, MediaTek, Rockchip or similar SoCs - Secure Boot, TPM, Secure Elements and embedded security Significant: This is a hands-on architecture and technical leadership role. The candidate should be capable of making platform-level decisions while also diving into kernel, BSP, driver and hardware issues when required. Candidates with only Linux application/server development experience are not suitable.
