We are seeking a Senior PCB Layout Engineer to lead the physical design of high-density, high-speed, and mixed-signal printed circuit boards across a variety of client projects. In this senior role you will translate schematics and design intent into fully manufacturable multilayer boards, drive stackup and signal-integrity decisions, and mentor other layout designers. You will collaborate closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and contract manufacturers to ensure every design meets its performance, cost, and manufacturability targets on the first spin.

Responsibilities

•

Own end-to-end PCB layout for complex multilayer designs — rigid, flex, and rigid-flex —

from Library , Footprint creation/Verification, placement through routing, copper pour, DRC, CAM review/DFM check , documentation and final fabrication output.

•

Define and document layer stackups, impedance profiles, and design rules in partnership with electrical engineers and the fabrication house.

•

Perform component placement with no mechanical issues and routing for high-speed digital (DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet), RF, and sensitive analog/mixed-signal circuits, applying controlled-impedance, length-matching, and return-path best practices.

•

Manage signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal considerations throughout the layout, coordinating with SI/PI engineers on constraint-driven design.

•

Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) reviews; resolve fabrication and assembly feedback with contract manufacturers.

•

Generate and verify complete fabrication and assembly deliverables — Gerber/ODB++, drill files, IPC-2581, netlists, BOM, pick-and-place, and Fab, assembly drawings.

•

Run and clean DRC and constraint checks; maintain design integrity between schematic and layout throughout revisions.

•

Maintain and improve library components, footprints,



and padstacks in accordance with IPC-7351 and internal standards.

•

Lead layout design reviews, establish and enforce layout guidelines, and mentor junior and mid-level layout designers.

•

Support board bring-up, debug, and design revisions, incorporating lessons learned back into design practice.

•

Estimate layout effort and schedule for client proposals and keep project stakeholders updated on progress and risks.

Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field, or equivalent skilled experience; an IPC CID/CID+ certification is a strong plus.

•

7+ years of hands-on PCB layout experience, including a track record of complex multilayer, high-speed, and mixed-signal boards taken to production.

•

Expert proficiency in at least one industry PCB tool suite — Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, or Mentor/Siemens Xpedition (PADS)

.

•

Deep knowledge of multilayer stackup design, controlled impedance, and high-speed routing techniques (length/skew matching, differential pairs, return paths).

•

Strong command of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-7351, IPC-A-600/610) and fabrication/assembly output requirements.

•

Solid understanding of DFM/DFA/DFT principles and direct experience working with fabrication and assembly vendors.

•

Proficiency in reading schematics and interpreting electrical design intent and constraints.

•

Excellent attention to detail, documentation discipline, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent designs and deadlines.
