Job Summary
We're looking for a Senior .NET Developer with hands-on payroll domain experience to join our core engineering team. You'll design, build, and maintain the software that powers attendance processing, shift management, overtime calculations, and payroll integration for 2,000+ organizations.
Our products sit at the intersection of hardware and cloud - biometric machines push real-time punch data to local servers, which sync to HRMS platforms like Keka, DarwinBox, and SAP. You'll own the full pipeline: from device data capture to payroll-ready output.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy attendance management, payroll processing, and shift-scheduling modules using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Web Forms (ASPX).
- Build and maintain payroll integration APIs - automated calculation of overtime, late deductions, leave encashment, and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT) based on attendance data.
- Develop backend services that capture, validate, and sync real-time punch logs from biometric devices (fingerprint, face recognition, UHF readers) to cloud databases.
- Create and maintain RESTful API integrations connecting our attendance engine with third-party HRMS and CRM platforms (Keka, DarwinBox, SAP, greytHR).
- Design and optimize MS SQL Server databases - write performant T-SQL queries and stored procedures to handle high-volume transactional attendance and payroll data.
- Maintain, debug, and upgrade legacy ASPX applications and desktop tools deployed at client sites.
- Build admin dashboards using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap for managing employee data, shift rosters, and payroll reports.
- Collaborate with hardware/networking engineers and support teams to diagnose and resolve data-sync and connectivity issues between devices, local servers, and the cloud.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of hands-on development experience in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
- Expert proficiency in C# and the .NET Framework - both ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web Forms (ASPX).
- Proven experience building payroll processing logic - overtime, shift differentials, leave management, statutory deductions, and payslip generation.
- Deep knowledge of MS SQL Server - relational design, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures for high-volume transactional workloads.
- Track record of building and consuming RESTful APIs and Web Services.
- Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript for building functional admin interfaces.
- Strong analytical skills - ability to trace complex data flow issues across devices, local servers, and cloud systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Indian payroll compliance - PF, ESI, Qualified Tax, TDS, Form 16.
- Familiarity with biometric device SDKs (eSSL, Matrix COSEC, ZKTeco, or Biomax).
- Experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+ and migration from legacy Web Forms.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, port configuration, and LAN networking for connected devices.
- Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud hosting.
