We are seeking a Java Technical Lead who is deeply strong in system design , design patterns , and backend architecture . You will own the technical direction of critical backend services, define architectural standards, and lead a team of engineers to build scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end system design and architecture for key backend services and platforms.
- Define and drive system architecture decisions: service boundaries, decomposition strategies, integration patterns, and data models.
- Apply and institutionalize design patterns and architectural styles (layered, hexagonal, DDD, CQRS, event-driven, etc.).
- Lead design and implementation of scalable microservices , APIs, and event-driven systems (REST/gRPC/GraphQL as needed).
- Create and maintain design documents , architecture diagrams , sequence diagrams , and API contracts .
- Conduct rigorous design reviews and code reviews ; ensure adherence to architectural and coding standards.
- Mentor senior, mid, and junior engineers on clean design , modularity, performance,



and reliability.
- Partner with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and SRE to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions .
- Drive non-functional requirements: scalability, latency, throughput, availability, resilience, observability, and security .
- Define technology standards, evaluate new tools/frameworks, and contribute to the long-term architecture roadmap .
- Lead incident analysis and post-mortems from an architectural and system-design perspective.

Must-Have Skills
- 12+ years of robust Java backend development experience; 2+ years in a lead / tech lead / architect capacity.
- Expert-level understanding of object-oriented design , design patterns , and system design principles .
- Proven track record of designing large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures .
