Job Summary

The AI-Native Engineer is responsible for discovering, assessing, prototyping and redesigning end-to-end business processes using Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Agentic AI, automation and data products. The role performs structured process discovery, assesses business value, establishes baseline metrics, evaluates data readiness, identifies the most appropriate AI solution pattern, and builds rapid prototypes using Microsoft AI suites or open-source models. The role sits within the AI Centre of Excellence and acts as a practical bridge between business, process, data, engineering and governance teams. It is accountable for translating current-state process pain points into future-state AI-enabled operating models aligned to a North Star 2030 vision.
The role is expected to deliver measurable outcomes across productivity, cycle-time reduction, quality improvement, control uplift, risk reduction and user experience.

Support the AI transformation agenda by identifying processes that can be materially improved or reimagined using AI, GenAI, agentic AI, workflow automation and data-enabled solutions.
Apply a 2030-forward mindset to challenge current ways of working and design future-state operating models that are simpler, faster, more intelligent and better controlled.
Assess emerging AI capabilities, Microsoft AI tools, open-source models and reusable enterprise patterns to recommend practical solutions for business problems.
Contribute to reusable AI design patterns, prototype assets, discovery methods, value frameworks and process redesign playbooks.

Business

Conduct structured process discovery with process owners, product owners, SMEs, operations teams and technology partners to understand the current-state journey.
Map end-to-end processes including upstream inputs, workflow steps, systems, decisions, controls, handoffs, rework, exceptions, downstream outputs and user experience.
