Qualification & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Social Sciences, Management or a related discipline. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in public-facing communication, outreach, stakeholder engagement, public relations, customer relations or an equivalent role.
Experience in an educational institution, student affairs, higher education or student services environment will be preferred.

Role & Responsibilties
The incumbent (on third party payroll) will be a energetic and empathetic individual serving as the primary point of contact between the SWD, students, parents and other stakeholders. The role requires exceptional communication skills, sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring clear, timely and effective dissemination of information while supporting the overall student welfare initiatives of the Institute. The detailed responsibilities are as under:




Serve as the primary liaison between the SWD, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Respond to parents’ and students’ queries promptly, professionally and empathetically through various communication channels.
Draft, review and disseminate official announcements, circulars, notices, advisories and other communications issued by SWD.
Ensure timely and accurate communication of important updates, events, policies, and welfare initiatives.
Coordinate with hostel administration, student clubs, faculty advisors and other SWD units to collect, verify and disseminate relevant information.
Maintain comprehensive records of communications, correspondence, feedback and stakeholder interactions.
Support crisis communication and handle sensitive issues with discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
Assist in organizing student engagement initiatives, orientation programmes, awareness campaigns and outreach activities.
