About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer/Proposal Engineer with 5+ years of expertise in the water and wastewater treatment industry (STP, ETP, WTP). The role involves preparing process designs, flow diagrams, GA drawings, and equipment specifications, along with costing and BOQ preparation for proposals. The candidate should also be able to explain technical drawings to clients and installation teams when required.
Key Responsibilities
Develop process designs for STP, ETP, and WTP plants and obtain approval from the Operations Head.
Prepare PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs;, GA drawings, and site-specific layouts using AutoCAD.
Draft equipment specifications, datasheets, and technical documentation.
Prepare costing, BOQs, and techno-commercial proposals.
Collaborate with Operations Head and Project teams to ensure feasibility of designs.
Provide technical clarifications and explain drawings to installation teams and clients.
Participate in client-facing technical discussions and presentations as required.




Ensure designs align with industry practices; knowledge of CPCB norms/BIS codes/ISO standards is an advantage.
Occasional site visits for data collection or client meetings when required.
Requirements
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in water/wastewater treatment plant design (STP/ETP/WTP).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of technical drawings.
Solid understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for client-facing roles.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple proposals/projects.
Knowledge of CPCB, BIS, and ISO standards is preferred.
