Orange Child Development Centre is a multidisciplinary child development and rehabilitation centre providing comprehensive services for children with developmental, behavioural, communication, sensory and learning needs.

Our multidisciplinary team includes Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists/Behavioural Therapists, Special Educators, Physiotherapists and other child-development professionals.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Orange CDC is looking for an experienced and responsible Clinical Head & Centre Manager who can independently lead the clinical and operational functioning of a Child Development Centre.

The person will be responsible for maintaining high clinical standards, effective team performance, excellent parent experience, smooth centre operations and overall branch performance.

This is a leadership position requiring a professional who can take complete ownership of the centre rather than functioning only as an individual clinician.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Clinical Leadership & Quality

- Oversee the overall clinical functioning of the centre.
- Supervise Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Psychology, Special Education, Physiotherapy, Early Intervention and other developmental services.
- Ensure every child receives an appropriate assessment and Individualised Intervention/Treatment Plan.
- Review therapy goals, progress and outcomes periodically.
- Conduct regular case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Ensure therapists maintain appropriate clinical documentation, session notes and progress reports.
- Identify children showing inadequate progress and initiate appropriate case reviews.
- Ensure evidence-based and ethical clinical practices.
- Coordinate referrals to Developmental Paediatricians, Neurologists or other specialists whenever required.
- Conduct periodic clinical audits and quality checks.

1. Team Leadership & Staff Management

- Lead and supervise the entire clinical team and coordinate with reception/administration.
- Conduct daily or weekly team meetings as required.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline and professional behaviour.
- Allocate cases appropriately according to therapist expertise and workload.
- Monitor therapist productivity and utilisation.
- Identify training and skill-development requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide structured feedback.
- Support recruitment, interviews, onboarding and training of current clinical staff.
- Identify performance concerns and recommend appropriate corrective action/PIP to management.
- Maintain a healthy, professional and accountable workplace culture.

1. Parent & Child Experience

- Act as the senior point of contact for important parent concerns and escalations.
- Ensure parents clearly understand assessment findings, therapy goals and intervention plans.
- Ensure therapists provide appropriate parent feedback and home-program guidance.
- Handle complaints professionally and work towards timely resolution.
- Monitor parent satisfaction and service quality.
- Identify children/families at risk of discontinuing therapy and understand the reasons.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and ethical standards in all parent interactions.

1. Centre Operations





Take overall responsibility for smooth day-to-day functioning of the centre.

Responsibilities include

- Appointment and therapy schedule monitoring
- Therapist slot utilisation
- Assessment scheduling
- New child onboarding
- Waiting-list management
- Session completion monitoring
- Cancellation/no-show monitoring
- Reception and administrative coordination
- Therapy room readiness
- Equipment and material requirements
- Centre cleanliness and professional standards
- Documentation and record maintenance

The Clinical Head must identify operational problems early and ensure they are resolved without unnecessarily waiting for senior management intervention.
1. Assessment & Conversion Management

- Monitor all new assessments conducted at the centre.
- Ensure assessment findings and recommendations are properly communicated to parents.
- Ensure clinically appropriate children are guided towards the recommended intervention plan.
- Monitor assessment-to-therapy conversion rates.
- Identify reasons for non-conversion and report observations to management.
- Ensure there is no unnecessary therapy recommendation or unethical sales pressure on parents.

Clinical recommendations must always be based on the child's needs.
1. Performance & Business Monitoring

The Clinical Head will monitor important branch KPIs, including:
- Number of assessments
- Assessment-to-therapy conversion %
- Active children
- New admissions
- Discontinuations
- Sessions conducted
- Therapist utilisation %
- Cancellation/no-show %
- Child retention
- Parent satisfaction
- Outstanding payments
- Branch revenue
- Clinical documentation compliance

The Clinical Head should analyse poor-performing areas and implement corrective actions in coordination with management.
1. Payment & Administrative Oversight

The Clinical Head is not expected to function as a receptionist or accountant, but must ensure that administrative systems are working effectively.

Responsibilities include

- Monitoring payment compliance with the reception team
- Ensuring sessions are properly entered/closed in the scheduling system
- Monitoring pending payments and administrative issues
- Ensuring reception follows established SOPs
- Escalating significant financial or operational discrepancies to management

1. Reporting to Management

Provide structured reports to management covering:

Daily/Weekly

- Attendance and staffing issues
- Operational concerns
- Parent escalations
- Important clinical issues

Monthly

- Assessments
- Conversions
- Active children
- Therapy utilisation
- Discontinuations
- Parent complaints
- Staff performance
- Clinical quality
- Revenue/operational performance
- Areas requiring management intervention

QUALIFICATIONSPreferred RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist / Rehabilitation Psychologist

OR A senior professional from:

- Occupational Therapy
- Speech & Language Therapy
- Psychology
- Special Education
- Physiotherapy
- Other relevant rehabilitation/child-development disciplines





with substantial experience in multidisciplinary paediatric rehabilitation.

Experience

- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a Child Development Centre, Paediatric Rehabilitation Centre, Child Guidance Clinic or multidisciplinary therapy centre strongly preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of team leadership/supervisory experience preferred.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS – KPI Performance will be evaluated primarily on:

30% – Clinical Quality & Child Outcomes

Quality of intervention, case reviews, documentation and clinical standards.

20% – Team Performance & Utilisation

Staff performance, discipline, productivity and therapist utilisation.

15% – Parent Experience & Retention

Parent satisfaction, complaint resolution and continuity of services.

15% – Assessment & Appropriate Conversion

Assessment quality, follow-up and clinically appropriate conversion.

10% – Operational Performance

Scheduling, session completion, cancellations, administrative coordination and centre discipline.

10% – Compliance & Reporting

Documentation, SOP compliance, reporting accuracy and timely escalation.

AUTHORITY OF THE POSITION The Clinical Head & Centre Manager will have authority to:

- Allocate and reallocate cases
- Review therapist performance
- Conduct clinical audits
- Call multidisciplinary case meetings
- Resolve routine parent complaints
- Modify operational workflows within approved SOPs
- Recommend recruitment requirements
- Recommend staff training
- Recommend PIP/disciplinary action
- Escalate serious clinical, HR, financial or operational matters to management

Final authority regarding salary changes, termination, major financial decisions, pricing and company policy will remain with Management.
