About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to design and build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience working with Distributed Systems and should have hands-on exposure to Agentic Systems / Agentic AI workflows. You will work across multiple backend domains, contribute to system architecture, and build robust infrastructure capable of handling asynchronous and distributed workloads.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design and implement distributed backend systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and fault tolerance.
- Work on Agentic Systems / Agentic AI workflows, integrations, orchestration, and backend infrastructure.
- Develop asynchronous and event-driven systems using queues, workers, and messaging systems.
- Design and implement backend architecture for multiple business domains.
- Build and maintain APIs, internal tools, admin panels, and backend services.
- Work with serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda, Vercel Functions, Cloudflare Workers, or similar platforms.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, indexes, and migrations.
- Integrate third-party services including AI providers, payment gateways, email/SMS platforms, and external APIs.
- Work with Redis, Kafka, and other queue/messaging systems.
- Contribute to shared packages, utilities, validators, and types within a monorepo architecture.
- Implement authentication, authorization, tenant-level isolation, and secure API access.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using Vitest or similar testing frameworks.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical planning, and system design.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, AI, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable backend solutions.

Mandatory RequirementsTechnical Experience

- 6–7 years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript – Mandatory.
- 5–6+ years of practical experience working with Distributed Systems.
- Hands-on experience with Agentic Systems / Agentic AI.
- Solid understanding of backend architecture and RESTful API design.
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
- Experience with asynchronous programming, background jobs, queues, and event-driven architectures.
- Practical experience with Redis, Kafka, or similar messaging/queue systems.
- Experience designing systems for scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with serverless architecture and understanding of its trade-offs.
- Experience working with monorepos.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and data isolation.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests.

Candidate Guidelines

- Must have hands-on Distributed Systems experience of at least 5–6 years.
- Must have hands-on experience with Agentic Systems / Agentic AI.
- TypeScript experience is mandatory.
- Must have strong Node.js backend development experience.
- Must provide a GitHub profile showcasing relevant technical work.
- Resume should focus on relevant technologies and should not list more than 20 technologies.
- Should demonstrate experience working in collaborative, team-based engineering environments.
- Must have spent at least 1 year with one organization.
