Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End System Ownership: Take ownership of backend features and services from problem definition through architecture, implementation, testing, rollout, and production support.

- Architecture & Engineering: Design maintainable domain models, APIs, and data structures using patterns like Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, and event-driven workflows.

- Backend Development: Build APIs and services using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS, working extensively with PostgreSQL, relational data modeling, Redis, and message queues.

- Technical Leadership: Review designs and code from other engineers, mentor SDE 1/SDE 2 engineers and interns, challenge unclear requirements, and help establish engineering standards.

- Legacy Modernization: Understand existing legacy systems and design cleaner, scalable replacements as we rebuild and evolve our technology platform.

What You'll Work On

- Core systems including checkout, carts, pricing, discounts, offers, orders, and subscriptions.

- Payments, refunds, transaction management, and product catalog systems.

- Customer identity, authentication, authorization, and fulfillment workflows (delivery, cancellations, returns, upgrades).

- Internal operations, workflow automation, and integrations with payment gateways and third-party services.





Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 5 years of skilled software development experience.

- Core Fundamentals: Strong understanding of data structures, software design, relational databases, transactions, consistency, REST API design, distributed systems, concurrency, and caching.

- Tech Stack Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, structured backend frameworks like NestJS, PostgreSQL/MySQL, ORMs (Sequelize, TypeORM, Prisma), Redis, message queues, and AWS.

- Domain Familiarity: Experience with payments, e-commerce, order management, subscription systems, inventory/fulfillment platforms, or high-volume transactional applications is highly valued.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
