Role Description The SAP EWM TM Technical Solution Architect will design, validate, and oversee SAP EWM and SAP TM solutions that support complex warehouse and transportation processes for clients in Iowa City, IA. This is a contract, on-site role that involves working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to translate supply chain requirements into scalable, integrated SAP architectures. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting solution design workshops, defining system landscapes and integration points, creating technical specifications, and guiding the configuration and development of EWM and TM functionalities.





The role also includes reviewing existing implementations, recommending improvements, supporting testing and deployment activities, and providing expert guidance on best practices for digital supply chain, including yard logistics and logistics business networks. The architect will contribute to project documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live optimization to ensure secure and efficient operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Solution Architecture skills, with experience designing end-to-end SAP EWM and SAP TM solutions within complex supply chain environments.
- Candidates should possess Consulting skills, including stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and the ability to translate business challenges into practical SAP-based solutions.
- Candidates should possess Software Development-related skills, such as working with SAP technical teams on enhancements, integrations, and performance optimization (e.g., ABAP coordination, interfaces, and automation).
- Candidates should possess Enterprise Architecture skills, including understanding of system landscapes, integration across SAP and non-SAP applications, and alignment with broader digital supply chain strategies.
- Candidates should possess Presales skills, such as supporting solution proposals, contributing to demos, and articulating the value of SAP EWM and TM capabilities to prospective clients.
- Relevant experience with SAP EWM, SAP TM, Yard Logistics, Logistics Business Network, and warehouse automation/robotics is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain
