Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Sampling Manager to lead our sample development team, ensuring timely and accurate production of samples that meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end sample development: proto, fit, PP, and SMS samples
- Coordinate with merchandising, design, and pattern teams to interpret tech packs accurately
- Plan and manage sampling timelines to meet buyer deadlines
- Ensure fabric, trims, and construction match buyer specifications
- Monitor sample quality and conduct fit approvals before dispatch
- Liaise with buyers/clients on sample feedback and revisions
- Manage sampling team, machine allocation, and workflow efficiency
- Maintain sample records, costing sheets, and approval documentation
- Identify and resolve production/sampling bottlenecks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Fashion Technology, Garment. Manufacturing, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in apparel sampling, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric behavior.
- Experience handling export buyers and tech packs.
- Excellent team management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CAD software is a plus.
