Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced MongoDB database administrator to own the design, performance, security, and reliability of our MongoDB estate. This role requires deep hands-on expertise across replica sets, sharded clusters, backup/restore, and performance tuning, with the judgment to make architectural decisions independently and troubleshoot production issues under pressure.
NKey Responsibilities

- Administer, monitor, and maintain MongoDB environments across development, staging, and production N
- Design and manage ReplicaSet and Sharded Cluster architectures for high availability and horizontal scalability N
- Own backup and restore strategy and execution, ensuring recoverability meets business RPO/RTO requirements N
- Plan and execute database patching, version upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime N
- Manage and optimize deployments using MongoDB Ops Manager N
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning across the MongoDB fleet N
- Write and troubleshoot Mongo Query Language (MQL)



for diagnostics and optimization N
- Administer underlying Unix/Linux infrastructure supporting MongoDB workloads N
- Work within Agile delivery teams, participating in sprints, planning, and incident retrospectives N
- Support automation initiatives using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, or Terraform N
- Script routine operational tasks using Bash or Python N
- Provide input and support on other database platforms as needed N
