Database Architect (DBA)

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Database Architect (DBA) with strong expertise in database administration and same-to-same migrations with version upgrades. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and smooth upgrade activities.

Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end database administration for Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
Plan and execute Oracle to Oracle migrations with version upgrades
Perform SQL Server to SQL Server migrations with upgrades
Handle PostgreSQL to PostgreSQL migrations with upgrades
Conduct pre-migration assessment, compatibility checks, and risk analysis
Perform database installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
Monitor database performance and carry out tuning and optimization
Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies




Ensure high availability and data security best practices
Troubleshoot database issues and provide production support
Prepare migration runbooks, documentation, and post-migration reports

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
Solid hands-on experience in Oracle DBA / SQL Server DBA / PostgreSQL DBA
Proven experience in same-to-same database migrations with upgrades
Expertise in backup & recovery (RMAN, native tools)
Robust knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization
Experience in Linux/Unix settings
Working knowledge of shell scripting / SQL scripting
