Role Description The Roto Artist role at PixStone Images Pvt Ltd is a full-time, in office position based in Chennai.

The Roto

Artist will be responsible for creating precise mattes and rotoscoping elements frame by frame to support compositing and other VFX processes. Day-to-day tasks include isolating characters and objects, working closely with paint and compositing teams to ensure clean extractions, and maintaining consistency across shots. The role also involves collaborating with supervisors and production coordinators, adhering to project deadlines,



and following established pipeline and naming conventions.

The Roto

Artist will contribute to the overall visual quality of feature films, commercials, TV series, and OTT projects handled by the studio.

Qualifications

- Strong roto skills with proficiency in Keying and Paint for high-quality mattes and clean-up work.
- Experience with Motion Tracking and related techniques to support matchmove and rotomation workflows.
- Solid foundation in Art and Computer Graphics, with an understanding of composition, color, and animation principles.
- Proficiency in industry-standard VFX and roto tools (e.g., Silhouette, Mocha, Nuke, or similar software).
- Ability to follow creative direction, work within a production pipeline, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional VFX teams.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple shots under tight deadlines.
- Relevant diploma or degree in animation, VFX, fine arts, computer graphics, or a related field; equivalent work experience is also valued.
- Prior production experience in feature films, TV, or streaming content is an advantage.
