Job Role: Embedded Linux Device Driver Lead
Experience: 10 to 14 Years
Location: Bangalore
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, integration, and debugging of Linux device drivers .
Develop and maintain drivers for USB, PCIe, Ethernet, Display, Camera, Storage, and Multimedia interfaces.
Analyze and resolve complex Linux Kernel, device driver, hardware, and system-level issues .
Develop and optimize kernel and driver components for performance, reliability, and scalability .
Work closely with hardware, firmware, BSP, SoC architecture, and validation teams .
Review board schematics and hardware specifications to understand hardware/software interfaces.
Perform hardware/software debugging using JTAG, signal analyzers, logic analyzers, and other debugging tools.
Work with ARM and/or RISC-V processor architectures.
Support BSP development, board bring-up, bootloader, and U-Boot integration.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to software quality and coding standards.
Mentor and technically guide engineers in Linux Kernel and device driver development .
Contribute to Linux Kernel upstreaming and open-source projects .
Must-Have Technical Skills
10+ years of experience in Embedded Software / Linux development.
Excellent programming skills in C .
Robust hands-on experience in Linux Device Driver development .
Deep understanding of Linux Kernel internals and Kernel architecture .
Strong experience with Embedded Linux .
Positive knowledge of ARM and/or RISC-V processor architectures .
Experience with device drivers for USB, PCIe, Ethernet, Display, Camera, Storage, or Multimedia .
Robust experience in hardware and low-level debugging .
Experience with JTAG and signal analysis tools .
Ability to read and understand board schematics .
Experience with Git and Yocto .
