Job Title: QMS Associate (off-role position)

Department: QMS

Location: Pune Head Office

Reports To: DGM-QMS

Job Overview The QMS Associate will be responsible for creating awareness and providing guidance on Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma principles, Seven QC tools, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, and Why-Why analysis. This role will involve educating and engaging both manufacturing and non-manufacturing employees across multiple locations to ensure a strong understanding and implementation of quality management practices.

In addition, the QMS Associate will oversee the function's budget, ensuring effective financial control and adherence to the allocated budget. The role will also require managing multiple sites and interacting with key stakeholders to drive quality initiatives and ensure continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Awareness Creation & Training

- Conduct training sessions and workshops on TQM, Six Sigma principles, Seven QC tools, PDCA, and Why-Why analysis for manufacturing and non-manufacturing teams.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across various organizational functions.
- Develop training materials, presentations, and communication plans to ensure consistent messaging.
- Act as a subject matter expert on quality management tools and techniques, providing guidance as needed.

Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation & Support

- Support the implementation of QMS practices at various locations.
- Facilitate the adoption of best practices and quality improvement methodologies.
- Monitor and track the effectiveness of quality programs, reporting key metrics to management.

Budget Management & Control

- Oversee the QMS-related function budget,



ensuring costs are within the approved limits.
- Control and monitor expenses related to quality programs and initiatives.
- Prepare and submit budgetary reports and forecasts as required.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support

- Collaborate with internal teams across different sites to ensure alignment on quality initiatives.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, providing updates on QMS-related activities and progress.
- Work with site leaders to identify opportunities for quality improvement and cost reduction.

Travel & Flexibility

- May require travel to different office or service locations to conduct training or audits.
- Occasional work outside normal business hours may be required to meet deadlines or project needs.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in TQM, Six Sigma, or related disciplines.

Experience

- Prior experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), TQM, Six Sigma, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Experience in conducting training sessions and workshops.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi (both written and verbal).
- Robust leadership and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects across different sites.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail to monitor and control budget and quality improvement initiatives.

- Willingness to travel between multiple office or service locations.
- Flexible work hours, including the possibility of working evenings or weekends as required by project demands.
