We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 46 years of experience in software testing and strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and TypeScript. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
- Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end automation test cases.
- Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
- Perform root-cause analysis of automation failures and application defects.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of the QA process.
- Maintain test documentation and provide testing status and reports.
Required Skills
- 4–6 years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Strong programming experience in TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Good understanding of Web UI automation testing.
- Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of XPath, CSS selectors, locators, assertions, waits, and page objects.
- Experience with Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation components.
- Good understanding of API testing/automation.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Valuable knowledge of SQL/database validation is an added advantage.
